Rita Angus Exhibition
The free summer exhibition at Te Papa – Rita Angus that opened on Saturday18 December and runs until 25 April 2022 has more than 70 works by one of New Zealand’s best-known artists. Walking around the exhibition I was amazed to find a Cornish connection. A water colour called “The Seamen’s Chapel, St Ives" painted in 1959. The painting is on loan from the Christchurch Art Gallery.
Once the exhibition closes in April, a scaled-down version will tour a number of regional galleries around the country.
