During a recent visit to the Mosgiel Genealogy Group it happened to coincide with their library clearing out back issues of The New Zealand Genealogist magazine. What a wonderful surprise it was to find the October 2016 issue.
The cover features a view of Cornish Town also known as Cousin Jack town. A distinct settlement established on the West Coast of the South Island near Reefton in Inangahua County (now part of the Buller District) to house Cornish miners and their families.
Looking at the table of contents, it was fantastic to see multiple Cornish articles, including one highlighting our very own New Zealand Cornish Association.
